I've got an old stalwart of a Minolta / QMS 2300DL laser printer thats about 10 years old with over 250k on the clock - it a 4 pass colour job, clean as a whistle & the toners & drum are all at about 50%.
It's got a slight problem in that theres an faint copy / artifact of the print / image appearing about 1/3 of the way down the page of any output - it's worse with bolder & darker things, for example a bold document header, it also seems to be slightly worse when the printer has just been turned on & is still cold.
I'm thinking that it may be the OPC drum that seen better days, even although it's only about 1/2 way through it's life - any ideas?
Thanks.
