Selecting forum options
Posted by Don Stauffer on Friday, November 9, 2012 8:59 AM

I prefer to read forums displayed as "unread".  Some of the forums seem to hold that selection, others keep defaulting back to "recent."  How do I save the option in those forums so it opens next time showing only unread?

Also, I find that even when displayed as unread, threads that I have read last time show up, and marking the "mark as read" option along the right hand sidebar seems to have no effect next time I try to look at that forum.  How do I save the fact that I have read all threads?

Hi Don,

I'm sending this post to our online gurus to see if they have an answer or if it requires a fix.

I know it used to be that if you had read a topic, it would show as a different color (or at least lighter) than an unread topic. I have been wondering why that changed.

I still see it that way when it returns to "recent posts."  But "unread" is still handier in forums that have a lot of traffic.

I use the "my discussions" option, and it doesn't show up at all there.
