Identify model on top of page
Posted by NeoMaximuz on Monday, May 13, 2013 11:28 AM

Can someone help me identify the model on the top of the page?

It used to be the Hasegawa Nakajima, but it changed about a month ago.

a mean person would say it is a Tamiya McDonnell, lol

but, it is the Tamiya F-4E built by Chuck and featured in the magazine at the tail end of 2012 or so,,,,,,,,,the article makes an excellent detail upgrade guide for those of us that build smaller scale Phantoms

what Nakajimi aircraft used to be up there?

almost gone

Thanks! So it's in 1/32, correct?

The top of the page used to have the 1/48 scale Hasegawa Nakajima Ki-27 about a month or two ago.

The Nakajima that was at the top of the page was the same one shot for the September 2012 cover. We change the images about every three months. As Tarnship says, the Phantom is the Tamiya 1/32 scale F-4J backdated to an F-4E for the November and December 2012 issues.

You guys always manage to put up the coolest looking models and making me go out and buy them!

But that's a good thing.

This really is a gorgeous kit.

psst, Tim,,,,,,,you left an E off of F-4EJ

if Chuck had built an E from a J kit for real,,,,,,,he would earn much more kudos than he has already received
