No Response For Post in "Forum Feedback & Error Reporting"
Posted by Valkyrie on Friday, February 14, 2014 8:22 PM
I entered a post in "Forum Feedback & Error Reporting" on 2/10 and have received no replies. Is there a more proper place to post it? The post was as follows: "I've been trying to update my Bio in "Manage Profile." After going into Edit mode it lets be enter the information, but when I save, it all disappears. All the other fields seem to work fine. What am I doing wrong?"

I remember reading your post but being new to the forums I figured someone else might be more helpful.

While I don't know of a better place to request help for your issue I was thinking that you might be hitting a character limit.  I was going to suggest entering your bio in short paragraphs.  Saving between.  Even better just type "test" and see if it allows that.  Write your bio in word or notepad and copy/paste a paragraph at a time into the editor saving between.

Anyone who helps would likely need to know what browser and version you are using, possibly your operating system as well-not sure.  I believe there is an issue with the newest version of Internet Exploder.  I personally use firefox with ad blocker plug in and have seen some strange things but nothing stopping the operation of the forum.  I can't seem to mark any threads as read so there's that too.

Possibly try it in a different browser, I don't trust google chrome but firefox is a free download, and if your using FF your PC should have IE installed.  Maybe try that.

I'm not sure any of that is helpful but good luck with it.

LOL, for being "new to the forums" that was a superb reply!  I will try your suggestions later today and you're probably right on target.  Hadn't thought of a character limit.  Thank you for the response!!!

Valkyrie,

I'm sorry that it's taken so long for you to get a response and apologize for our lateness.

I'll head over to your thread and answer you there.

Tim

Hi, Gordy.  I tried your suggestions, but none worked.  Thanks for the good try though.  Tim Kidwell is involved now and I'm sure the issues will get resolved sooner or later.
