Rich Text Formatting & 8.1

This inability is undoubtedly due to my limited ability but, I have been having annoying problems since I updated to Windows 8.1. For the most part everything functions properly aside from the Rich Text Formatting when posting/replying in the forums. None of the tabs/keys appear, all I get is an empty text box to type into. And, regardless of how I format my sentences and paragraphs, once I hit “Post” it displays as one smashed together paragraph. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
