I read about 12 forums daily. Some have a lot of traffic, some very little. In either case there are usually some threads I do not read. I use the "mark all read" function to "zero out" the forum. Yet, the next day some of the same threads show up in the forum summary listing, in spite of no new posts. Further, sometimes the next day, indeed all the old messages are gone, but may reappear a week or a month later, even though there are no new posts in the threads. What gives?
Also, because I read forums that do have a lot of traffic, I like to read the forums using the "new posts" function, But nothing in the system remembers that, and I have to select that tab each day for each forum. I can remember that years ago I had found a way to set each forum to that option, but I just cannot find it now. How do I select that option for the forums I follow?
