OK you tech-savvy people, I have a Flickr question.  How do I get rid of the scribble before and after a posted photo?  I used to be able to delete selected stuff, but now any alteration to the url, except for the thing at the beginning, prior to posting causes the post to fail.  Flickr has revised their site twice since I started using them, and each time a new posting problem came up.  Can someone shed light on how to fix the current problem?  TIA.

Okay, let me see if I can help.

.Log on to Photobucket

.Choose the thumbnail picture you want to post

.The fourth choice on the menu below each pic is IMG, click on that, right-click copy

.Paste pic into message  ie.

Alternately, if you click on the thumbnail pic and have it open full size, on the right side of the page you will see the same menu choices.  Click on IMG and it shows "copied".  This can now be pasted into your message too.  Like so:

Have a try at those methods and see if it works for you.  Good luck!

Gary

Hellow all, have been trying to learn how to post pics but have been unsucsessful. I opened photo bucket account and followed the steps you provided in your post and am trying to paste onto page itself, also tryed pasting into the box that opened under the insert/edit icon which opens another box for descrption and source, and size? and tried pasting into the "source" box and even tried typing in the code under pic in photo bucket file into the source box with negitive results. I would appreciate any advice you may have on were I'm going wrong thanks eod guy

You're welcome.

You are not missing anything. The search feature has disappeared as a result of the recent forum upgrade. The FSM staff has posted here that getting the search feature back is a priority. Latest word is a couple more weeks.

In the meantime you might try using Google or your favorite search engine. Search any term(s) followed by 'finescale'. This works pretty well.

I'll give it a shot, at least I'll explain how I do it. First, start an account at a photo-hosting site; I use Photobucket. Then, upload your pics that you've saved to your computer. After they are uploaded, you'll see the thumbnail pics.

Under the thumbnails you will see several options.  You want to click on the one that says "IMG". Once you do, it will show the code in blue.  Right click and choose copy.  Now, go to the post that you've started here and simply "paste" the code.

I hope that helps!
Gary

Thank you Greg!

I tried searching the topic in the forums before posting but their doesn't appear to be a search option, only for the FSM website.  Am I seeing this correctly?  Instead of searching you now have to scroll through all the threads in the topic you are looking for?

Difficulty posting a photo
Posted by Caddyshack on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 10:35 AM

I'm having difficulty posting a photo with a topic I just posted in the Dioramas section about how to create fire or an explosion.  I posted the link but nothing showed up in the thread.  Can anyone provide some help?

Thank you
