Thank you Amplighter, that worked for me as well.
As a final follow up, the password change worked just as AmpLighter said it worked. The problem I mentioned about about not being able to log in with either my old or new password was a problem created by a combination of being redirected to a third party website to perform the actual PW change, the way my password manager responded to that, and me being too airheaded to see what was going on.
All is well, I was wrong and AmpLighters advice was and is spot on.
Greg check your PM.
While I'm still able to log in, I thought I toss out that right now in addition to what I said above about not being able to logout using my browser of choice, I am also unable to log in on other browsers using either my old or new password.
I'm hoping this is just a lag of some sort and won't end up with me needing to create a whole new user name and start over. This has happened to others here (not necessarily due to a password change request though) and is why I never tried the process you suggested.
Hopefully it will all work out.
Np Greg as this was the only way I was able to locate a password change protocol. Also to anyone wanting to do the same, the system will allow for other options to recover or change your password. So one (like myself) doesn't have to have a subscription to the magazine to change their email or password. Just scroll through the options and enter the best options according to your account level.
Greg I see no bad advice.. However I am confused as to an earlier post in another section where you asked nearly the same question. In that post it appears you had the issue corrected.. But I may have read the post incorrectly.
AmpLighter Upon getting ready to login, scroll to the bottom of the login screen and say forgot my password. Enter you email address or any other account information and the system will send you information to recover or change your password.

Yes, I've seen that. But it a nonstandard password change procedure, I'm no longer a subscriber and have no subcriber account to reset nor do I want to reset anything, just want to change my password.
If you could advise if you've actually done it, that would be great to know. If not, maybe you could give it a go and let us know how it worked out for you?
Thx.
EDIT: I misread the 'reset' GUI, missed the "ors". I gave it a go and it appears to have let me change just my password. This makes you the hero of today in my book. Thank you.
Oddly, the system does not seem to let me log out, which has me a little baffled, must be a cookie thing. I'll have to try it on some browser I never use to see if the pw really changed, but I'll bet it did.
Thanks again, Amp.
My apologies for my bad advice above. I seem to have missed the forest for the trees again.
We cannot.
Perhaps cust service could help, I suspect you'd have to create a whole new username and start over. If that's not the case, I'd be in your debt if you'd let me know. I've been wanting to change my pw here for a long time.
I've looked and looked but do not see a link to change my password. Any help on this?
