so its happened again on the mbp on another site while typing a web based message.  So im guessing its an ios software issue or hardware keyboard issue.  Gonna have to send it to apple again for repair im guessing.

Keep on modeling!

No, I can't say it's something I've noticed - have you tried logging in using another device?

Yep, i use other devices but not with or at least not much with (or when on) this site.  On my windows pc and wife's macbook pro and on my old imac w/ magic keyboard dont seem to have spelling errors(as much) and no repeating letters.  Maybe ill try only to use the pc laptop for a week when getting on to see if it happens.  Drives me nuts.

Keep on modeling!

I tend to type long replies in a text editor, then cut & paste into the site.

I think it's an issue with iOS systems on the site. When I try replying with my iPhone, currently a 12 Pro, I have an issue with letters I type dropping. It's not an autocorrect issue either. I had the same problem with my previous iPhone. I try to post on the site using my Microsoft Suface laptop, because of the issue when using my phone, and don't have the same problem.

i do use other devices and cant seem to remember it happening.  On my mac i dont seem to see it happen but on this site.  However - that would be really weird but had to ask.  The keyboard has been replaced after the device was suposedly wiped and the problem has been reoccurring after some time.  I also recently myself overlayed a new OS to see if that would make a difference and ive not see the issue until recently, on this site.  If it continues to happen on other sites/apps, im going to maybe update to Big Sur and it it sill happens, maybe ill wipe it clean myself and reinstall.....  I really dont want to send it backk in as the turn around is weeks.  FOR EXAMPLE - notice the "kk" in back.

gotta ask - duplicating letters while typing....
Posted by Mrchntmarine on Friday, January 1, 2021 10:15 AM

so i have a 1 year new Mac book pro whose keyboard has been replaced due to duplicating letters while typing.  Its a known issue on some older macs and this model has a new keyboard design and the problem was suppose to not be issue on this model.  So, im still getting duplicating letters at times - but it seems to be only on this site!?!

Ok, weird - but does anyone else get duplicating letters on this site while posting?

Not sure how that would even be, but ive got to ask as i running out of ideas of trying to figure this out.

Keep on modeling!

William
