Picture Size Problems
Posted by bstrump on Sunday, October 31, 2004 1:19 PM
Hi all!
I tried yesterday to post my first pic ( in the test forum as Testing 1..2..3). For some reason, it didn't come out the size I thought it would. It's not the size that seems to be normal around here. Obviosly I did something wrong but I'm not sure what or where. Did I make the mistake right in the beginning when I uploaded to my hosting site? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What size problem did you have ? Most host sites display your pic in a thumb, or small, format. You need to Rt click on the pic to get the full size image, then Lt click to get the properties & URL for the full image. Post the URL for the full size image on FSM. The FSM software also will display a smaller image by default, but a Rt click on the image will display the full size pic. If your pic is too large, then you would have to resize it on your computer before uploading to your host site.

Took a look at your test post. As I kinda guessed, you posted a thumb. Follow suggestions in previous post & all will be well.

You mean like this?

Thanks , Rick. I didn't know that "th_" means "thumb". So I just deleted it from the URL and now all is right with the world!

That's better, much better! I guess the next hobby I need to take up is photography! My weathering isn't showing up very well in the pic.
