Why do my images intermittently show up, then not show up?

Folks,
When I post images to the forums, the images show up fine on my computer, but not on anyone else's. They just get the dreaded red X. If I click on the refresh button, I get the red X as well. If I exit the forum, then re-enter it, I get the images back. If I again click on the refresh button, red X. What gives? I am posting my images to sbcglobal.yahoo.com, with which I have an acount with space to post pictures. Any help in this would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
