There are tons of FTP programs out there.

My favorite at the moment is FileZilla (http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla). Don't ask me why, but I really like it. Smile [:)]

My ISP does provide me with some free space. I should take advantage of it and get and FTP program.

Depends some host sites offer upload functionality via their site, among those are photobucket, yahoo, etc.

They often to this in order to limit the number of files and filetypes that you can upload at any given time.
If your ISP provides you with space on their server for setting up a website you usually need your own FTP program, some do provide upload functionality though.

FTP programs are dime a dozen and most of them are FREE on the web, best to have one just in case. I prefer FTP programs as I am in control and they are way faster.

It depends on the host you are using for the transfer. Some sites allow drag-and-drop while others require FTP. I use SmartFTP. It's a free transfer program that is very user friendly.

Do I need an FTP program to get my pic on the web or are there other methods to get your pics transferred to a web host?
