I'm not sure why or if you even could do that. Installing from a Cd or DVD in windows XP is really the same, as they are just treated as another harddrive that can take removable media. What happens when you try to install? What's the error message?

How do you change a DVD-ROM setting to a CD-ROM setting on the windows XP edition. I have a digi cam CD that just won't install. the computer manual said "Change the setting to CD-ROM".... and left me to flip through the 423pages to find the answer, correction, 422 not counting the page that said the qoute above.
I really wanna pull my hair out
please help!
anybody if you know either post or E-mail me!
