                        Some of the Vallejo metallics are alcohol based--and you *have* to use their thinner, or else they will rust...

                        Vallejo are water based acrylics. Some alcohols will cause them to coagulate. You can thin with tap water, but I prefer to use bottled distilled water.

                        I purchased Vallejo alcohol based paints which I use on figures. I am not sure I am using them properly. What is the proper method of mixing and applying them.
