If there are replies to a thread, I'm really hesitant to remove the entire thread.

If you got an answer to your question you don't have to delete the thread. By keeping the thread, it might be useful to someone else who had the same question.

Then only an admin can delete the topic.

Replies can be deleted by the original author at any time.

Down at the bottom right corner of your post should be a button that says delete. Should be next to your quote button
