Tony,
Welcome to the board.
As for figure size, each manufacturer does their own thing. Since soldiers (or anyone) are not the same height, you can combine different sizes (even different scales) in a scene. The best way to do this is pick one brand of personal items and use that with all the figures. You will see an occasional 54mm figure in a dio. If you have several 35th scale figures also, give the larger figure a weapon from the smaller scale to tie him in. The only time you have a real problem is if you have several larger figures in the group. Then they may look out of place next to the vehicles or the other figures. 1 or 2 may be ok and sometimes, grouping the larger figures in a separate part of the dio can hide the height difference.
Hope this helps,

Figures Scale

Hello. Tony Here. I have a questio about " Figure " scale. I just finished a TIGER I tank and am in the process of making it in to a dioroma. I ordered two sets of figures. One is the Academy 1/35 scale German tank crew. The other is Tamiya 1/35 German tank crew at rest. When I opened them up to my surprise, they are differant in size. The Academy crew set is larger even though they are 1/35 scale. Has any one had this problum? You help would be much appreicated.
