Figured it had to be something relatively simple related to all the work on your system...

Glad to hear you've got it licked!!!

Happy Posting...

Alright!! That worked. Now......Bow [bow]
Three down, three to go. (In case anyone thinks I can't count? I've been previewing as I go to see if each one is working) Approve [^]
You can't check the forum code issue whenever you use the quote function so, that will have to wait for another post.
All of the pictures resized.
I think I got her whipped!!!
Not to keep you all in suspense any longer? My security level was set on high. I reset it to medium and everything is back to normal. FSM is even running slow, just as before.
Now, to check the final abnormality. Off to post!!!

Haven't added a thing.
I got off work at midnight, logged on about 12:30. Everything was working fine, other than a little slow.
I got up about 9:00, cleaned out the cache, deleted cookies, deleted temporary internet files and defragged. Shut the computer down and got my third or fourth cup of coffee, restarted the computer and signed onto FSM. That's when it all started.
All other things seem to be working fine. In fact, the pages of the forum seem to be working a little faster than before. You can bet, I'm happy with that.
Sorry if this isn't enough information but, that's all I did. I'm sure as heck confused!!
Brian
I know what you mean about the slow loading. I've learned to live with that but, this other stuff is mind bogeling!!!

I don't have those specific (or severe) problems, but out of all the sites I frequent, FSM is by far the most troublesome. For me, that usually means SSSLLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWW loadings between each click...nothing to do with photos, just plain ol' loading of pages. And I have cable internet! Some days I just give up.

Every other site in the world I frequent is fine, which leads me to believe it's a problem with the FSM forum.

Or maybe when you get closer to 8,000 posts, they put a governor on your account, to slow you down! Wink [;)]

I just did all of those things this morning before ever signing onto FSM.
I haven't noticed it on other sites. But then, I don't go to a lot of sites with forums. Mainly, this one.

It sure sounds like you need to clean up your cache, free disc space, dump cookies, and defrag. Does this happen on other sites as well?

Okay. Is it just my computer or is anybody else having these problems.
1. Whenever I try to use the quote function. My computer freezes up. I have to alt-control-delete to get out and then sign back on.
2. Whenever I try to use the forum code function. Guess what? You got it! Same as #1!!
3. Whenever I try to use the smilies. You got it!! SAME as the above!!!
4. Can't preview posts. Freeze frame!!!!
5. None of the pictures that are in the posts are resizing. Even the ones in the members signatures.
6. And I think this is the last. After I have posted a response or topic, I have to click on "return to forum" to return to the forum. It used to go back there automatically.
I have checked my profile and everything is set where it is supposed to be and I have checked my computer to make sure everything there is set right. Everything seems to be set where it suppose to be.
HELP!!!!!!!!
