                        I've set my options to notify me when new topics are started in several forums. I came back, later, and there were new threads—but I never got an e-mail.

                        Worse, it seems to be inconsistent—some I got, some I didn't. Wunnerful, another intermittent malf…

                        The email notification doesn't work for new threads, only new posts in threads YOU'VE posted in. I turned off the notice to receive emails. Post in one popular thread and BOOM you've got 20 new emails.

                        So far the only way to find the new threads is to visit often and select active threads.
