Destroyer Glennon DD-620

My uncle was a sailor in the US Navy and served on the destroyer USS Glennon DD-620 during WWII. The ship had it's stern blown off by a mine just off of Utah Beach during the D-Day invasion. A German shore battery sank it a couple of days later as it sat dead in the water. My uncle lived through the incident and is still doing well in Miner, Illinois. I believe the ship was a Gleaves Class Destroyer, but I am not sure. Can anyone verify that for me? Does anyone know where I can get a model of this class of destroyer and what scale it might be? Also, does anyone know where I can get drawings (front, side and top views) of this class of destroyer. Any help will be greatly appriciated.

Glennon (DD-620) is a Gleaves class DD.

You're in luck...Chris Decker at Trident Hobbies just informed me a few minutes ago that a 1/350 resin kit of the Gleaves will be ready in a few weeks.
