For those with the link and emoticon problem

This appears to be a bug in the security portions of the Firefox software, and may be related to the recent upgrade here. There is a fairly simple fix: delete all cookies set by any url containing "finescale" or "kalmbach". I don't know which cookies are the problem, and I'm not going to the trouble to find out. Easier to just dump them all. Empty the cache, clear all private data, and quit Firefox. Restart Firefox and log back in. Everything should work normally.

Or you could just use IE7 (with the phishing filter turned off....)  Wink [;)]

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] I resemble that remark…

Internet Exploder will never be permitted on my machine, nor will Netscrape. They are both covered by the old Chinese proverb: "Fool me once, shame on  you. Fool me twice, shame on me!"

That being said, little frustrations like this one are why Firefox isn't my primary browser. Everytime I think seriously about making it so, something like this comes up!

In all fairness, I bet part of the problem was that after the software upgrade, here, the forum was trying to set new cookies, but didn't because it saw the old ones. I know how busy Dave is, but I wish he'd posted: "Dump your cookies and do the login dance!" when the  upgrade was done. Ah, well… I could have thought of this sooner, too! But thanks for the compliments! Burger [BG]
