Smilies not animated

I used to use Internet explorer and one day the animations just stop for no reason. Then I switched to firefox and still the same thing. I have close to the top of the line graphics card, 1gb of RAM, and an old motherboard, but it worked on my computer before so I dont think the hardware is the problem.I will try to go through all of the settings possible and make sure everything is installed correctly, but its not looking too promising.

Bgrigg, IT WORKED!!!!Thank you so much for the suggestion, I guess I was trying to make it too complicated. Thank you both for taking time out of your day to try to help me out, and that is why I like this site so much and will continue to be part of this fine community.(he's moving!!!)
