When I say browser I'm refering to Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari etc.  You might need to try using Internet Explorer when you go to update your profile.

The "avatar file" is the picture you're trying to use as your avatar.  Make sure you have the little button clicked to "enable avatar".  Your file must be no bigger than 99 by 99 pixels.  If you're not sure how to do this, why don't you e-mail the picture file you want as your avatar to me and I'll double check to make sure it meets the size requirements.  If necessary I can resize it for you and e-mail it back.  Smile [:)]

I need to look into the Browser question and see what i'm using for sure , supposedly its Internet Explorer , not sure thow .

I resized the photo i'm trying to use , i'll check that also Scott .

Interesting.....

What browser are you using to upload your avatar file?

Maybe try clearing your browser cache, then go back to FSM and try again? Confused [%-)]

Scott i dont have an answer . The browser is the one in the FSM "Profile " and i'm not aware of having my own "avatar file " , perhaps that is the mistake i'm making .

Assuming you uploaded your avatar from your PC and you're still having troubles, I'd double check the file size/dimensions of your avatar to make sure it's at or below the maximum allowable.

Carl,

Save the photo to your desktop. Go to your profiles page and scroll down to the part where you upload the avatar. Browse for the photo (Please God don't let it be corn!) and upload the image. Do NOT do this from photobucket or any other hosting site, only from your computer. Within ten minutes you should have success.

Now go and try it again, or I'll call Ed and his bat!

Bill

So long folks!

If I remember correctly, the avatar is actually stored on the FSM servers, so you simply brows for your avatar file on your local computer, and upload the picture file (as long as it doesn't exceed the maximum size allowed).  Smile [:)]
