Email forum reply messages not received...
Posted by cardshark_14 on Monday, December 24, 2007 3:51 AM

Hi,

I have not received any email reply notifications to threads I've participated in since Dec. 21. Some of these are popular threads like "Aircraft Trivia Quiz" as well as assorted group builds. Browsing the forums shows changes, but they do not appear in my email.  I use Gmail, and up until now, have not had any problems receiving these notifications. In my user profile, my options are set to receive email, rich-text email, and reply notifications.

I guess I'm just curious as to whether or not anyone else is having a similar problem, or if its all on my end. Thanks!

Hmm, at least its not just me...

I use Opera as my browser, and Gmail for email? How about you? I just upgraded to the new Opera release, to see if that changes things.  It hasn't so far.  Let me know what you're using, and if anything fixes it.

Merry Christmas! Smile [:)]`

Hey RadMax8, Its not just us pal...

Over in Odds & Ends, someone started a very similar thread that has almost 20 people with the same problem. One person even reported problems with PMs...

It sounds to me like the FSM outgoing mail server is down...it'll probably get reset whenever someone gets back to work...  Thanks for the moral support.  Smile [:)]

I found my email with numerous messages from FSM that the groups have been updated.  Guess it is working now.

Haha Bill, I use hoopty when I mean "thing", "whatchamacallit", "thingamajig", etc. Guess that's just a whippersnapper ruining your generation's words!Wink [;)]

Boy when it rains it pours... I checked my email today. 113 new messages. 95% were from FSM! Every update I've missed... at least they fixed it!
