How do threads get "stars"?
Posted by Townsy11 on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 8:23 PM

I was looking through some of the pages on this forum and noticed that some threads have stars and others don't. what do the stars really mean and why are they put there?

I used to think it was because I posted in them.

But that wasn't it. Sigh [sigh]

I think it has to do with the number of views. I notice those with views less than 200 don't have stars, while those over 200 do.

So long folks!

Also, if you look at the top of the thread, there's a button marked "Rate".

If you select this, it allows you to give the thread a "rating" of 1-5 stars depending on how much you like the thread.

LOL Laugh [(-D] Same here, I'm very sure it's about the number of views and how people rate it.

I don't really think it has to do with the number of views a thread gets, as an example: the Modern Armour GB I am currently in has almost 6,000 views yet not a single star I am certain it's just based on how people rate it.

Yea, maybe it doesn't have to do with # of views because this thread is rated 5 stars lol...
