Yet another question regarding Access Codes for FSM (newsstand) buyers...
Posted by jan_nienaber on Monday, March 17, 2008 12:27 AM

Good Day

Perhaps I am visually challenged (my wife keeps telling me that)  but for the life of me I can't find an access code in the March 2008 issue.

Is it just me or did it not come with a code?

Thanks!

The Access Code scheme was discontinued about six months ago. See this thread /forums/826488/ShowPost.aspx for more details.

Thanks, Phil.

That's too bad, but I understand the factors that are driving this decision. My favourite hobbyshop owner tells me that he is hurting too - as he puts it, "Plastic modelling in all its forms are considered a 'Sunset Hobby'" (meaning that he thinks that 30 years or so from now NOBODY will be building models at all).

Anyway, I will continue buying the mags off the newsstand when an issue has something of interest for me - in March  it was the article about converting / modernizing the old Convair kit that "floated my boat".

Thanks again

Hello DrewH,

I live in Walnut Grove, north of Langley...

AAMOF, I would love to get into contact with other modelers. Been here in this area almost 10 years now - and starved for (model builder) company!

I know where you are. I'm actually in Aldergrove.

go to my web site (the www icon at the bottom of this post) and find contacts. I'm there. Get hold of me how ever you like.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto]!!!

but sadly, our requests have gone unanswered for the last 6 months and it doesn't look like they'll be changing their minds any time soon.

I don't think a petition would work either but it's an idea.
