The name works for me, Mamby-Pamby. That wasn't cursing, swearing, cussing or, foul language by any fairly normal person's standard...Only a EXTREME Fagalist would be offened by the words  "hell and damn".    I speak 2 languages and their both English. So get off your high horse. If you can't help me with my Sure Thing Decal maker, I have no use for you OR anybody with an "HOLIER-THAN-THOU"  attitude......BITE IT!     I AM THE KING OF @$$-HOLES... LONG LIVE THE KING!

Ok, I know I'm not supposed to feed the trolls but, that had to be the 2 most asinine posts that I have ever read. Here or anywhere else.

Sorry guys, I have a pretty jacked up sense of humor and if something is particulary rediculous, I have to laugh. So, yeah, I actually spit 7-Up on my monitor when I read this.

I'm beginning to think there's a third ( 3rd.) English language AND, I only know two ( 2 ). I am not all that computer savvey BUT, I'm triyng...Am I the only person who's had to fill this form out?     Now...In the "About You" section there's a box next to "Name" under that is "Location" under that is "Occupation" under that is "Interests"...That part is self-explanatory. In the box under that is   "Web Address", I thought it meant Email address, under that is "Blog". What the hell is "Blog"? When I typed in my email address next to "Web Address" I got an "Invalid" notation to the right of the box in Red. Next is "Language" and "Timezone", again self-explanatory. Under that is "Signature". How am I supposed to sign something I can't write on? Under that is "Public Contact Information (visible to all members). Under that is  Public  Email:  Again self-explanatory. Now the rest is under that in this order "MSM IM", "AOL IM", "Yahoo  IM" and, "ICQ" . Had anybody went back and looked this form, page or, whatever them/you are calling it, Instead of giving me ration of CRAP and, being "HOLIER-THAN-THOU" you'd help somebody that dosen't understand all the computer langauge. Seven (7) year old attitude??? Im not hiding my real personatly as the screen name implies...I AM THE KING OF @$$-HOLES. Just not as childish as you.  I tell you the same thing I told the last person with your attitude, "GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE" only a real Mamby-Pamby would be offened by  language or, attitude.

Don't worry.  You don't have to fill any of that out if you don't want to .  A web log is a website where people mostly write about themselves.  Lots of people don't have them.  I don't know about the web address, but the signature is the qoute, pictures, words, or whatever under the line after your post.  that too is not necessary.  The AOL IM, yahoo IM, etc. are forms of "instant messaging" or talking on the internet.  Once again, not necessary for this forum.   Hope that clears stuff up for you.  And Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forum

Mark,

I realize the easiest thing to do here would be to dog-pile on you. Raider83 said it best. A lot of those things on the profile page are totally unneccesary for most members.

The way to ask for help is to say something along the lines of "Hey guys, I'm having trouble doing  (insert problem here) can anyone help please?"

A great deal of the members here are either active or retired military, have wives and children (some who also come here for help and advice). I myself have 17 years in the U.S. Navy so you would have to try extra hard to offend me or most members with some foul language. (NO, that is not a challenge or suggestion.)

I visit many forums and this and the LEM forums are hands-down populated with the most helpful bunch of friendly Grownups you will find anywhere. You only have a total of 4 posts so it isn't too late to back it down a couple of notches and start over. On a side note, you really need to consider another handle. Your current one will not last out the week. This is mostly due to the fact that the true King of A-holes was my Chief Engineer on the USS Port Royal(CG-73) Angry [:(!]

Welcome to the forums.

Regards,

Jeff

Um.... you don't have to fill all that stuff out if you don't want to.  Might want to learn some social skills in the mean time.  Do not feed the trolls [troll]

Wow. Your ability to offend amazes me. Personally I swear like a drunken sailor, but my mother taught me enough manners not to act like an idiot in public. Something you might consider.

The FORUM RULES (if you click on the red link to the left, you can read the full set of rules) prohibit profanity, not my holier than thou, mamby-pamby attitude:

We restrict any language that inhibits any other user from using and enjoying the reader forums. Transmission of any unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, pornographic, profane, or indecent information of any kind, including without limitation any transmissions constituting or encouraging conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any local, state, national, or international law will not be tolerated.

There are all sorts of people on these forums, some are even children, and they don't need to read posts by people who resort to using foul language as their nickname or in their posts.

You've come barreling onto these forums, and acted the fool, and are off to a great start in making a bunch of enemies out of some of the nicest folk you could ever hope to meet.

First off, many of us haven't thought about the profile page since we joined this forum, so it's not what comes to mind. Your original post was high on attitude and low on information. That's your perogitive, but one that will typically end in you being banned by the administrators of these boards.

NONE of the profile page has to be filled out, but it's polite to add a bit of information about yourself, in case someone wanted to make friends with you.  I will swallow what I wish to say to you, in order to try and educate you on some computerese:

Blog: short for WeB LOG, or daily journal that some people have on the internet.

MSN IM: MicroSoft Networks Instant Messenger is a "chat" program, and is where you would put your user name if you were a member of MSN IM. This allows a typed conversation to happen between two or more people.

AOL IM: America OnLine Instant Messenger is a competitive program to MSN IM.

Yahoo IM: Another instant messenger, this one provided by the Yahoo! Portal.

ICQ: ICQ, say it out loud, it sound like "I seek you". This is the original chat program.

Avatar: If you've noticed there are some people who have a picture that shows up in each posts. That is their "avatar" which uniquely identifies them. It is a picture you "upload" to the FSM website.

Signature: Some people (including me) have mottos or sayings in their "Signature". Another means of personalizing your posts. Mine is a truer latin translation of "Don't let the bastards grind you down". It also includes some "Stars" that used to represent a rank on these forums, as well as a Group Buildl Badge I am taking part of.

I hope this helps you out in filling in some of the blanks you've encountered so far. You might consider toning down your attitude and becoming a more polite member. It will get you more answers to the questions you seek, than your angry PO'd attitude ever will, after all, it is as easy to catch flies with honey, as it is with turds.

Acting loud and tough and knowing you are anonymous is so very brave. I call it "keyboard courage" as I'm confident that you would not ever say anything to my face like you have in your post. I'm not afraid of you, as I'm not afraid of any schoolyard bully. I discovered years ago that most bullies are cowards in the right situation.

So long folks!

Bill, I agree with you 100% and this dudes attitude was UNCALLED FOR! Another thing I want to point out is the fact that there have been hundreds of old posts about the Surething Decal Maker software and if this guy had taken the time to do a keyword search here he would have found his answer.

I myself have posted many times regarding the Surething software because I have it and have used it. What this guy doesnt realize is not alot of folks here use Surething for making thier own custom decals. Many folks here prefer to use other software such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro for making custom decals. Now if he would have taken his proverbial head out of his ___, and either looked up past postings OR (GOD FORBID) had some patience to wait for a reply about it he would have gotten his answer.

Please spend no more of your valuable time with this TROLL, he is not worth it.
