The ranking system
Posted by Awasoda on Thursday, November 6, 2003 7:03 PM
I have been on these forums since this summer and I still dont know exactly how the ranking goes. For example how you earn the different ranks and what the starts under your name means. I have been wonderin that for a long time and decided it was time to find out. Thanks
IF you can't beat them then they are not tied down properly

The ranking system is dependent on the number of posts you make.

0-19 Snap-together
20-99 Box Stock
100-499 Aftermarket
500-999 Multi-media
1000-1999 Kit-bashed
2000 + Scratch-built (Postmaster General?)

So if you want to have a higher rank you need to participate in the forum discussions more often.

Good luck.

HEY,
I agree with Hou_ge2000 when he says we should have those really high rankings. I few of us are almost there and it would be a great way to show a persons dedication to this site and their experience above the rest of us aftermarket folks.

Not necessarily .... done a pile of posting and done a pile of models in the last year. Far more models then I did the previous year when I didn't post at all.

I quite agree. I joined FSM sometime in July of last year (7 months) ago. Within that period of time I was able to post roughly about 1700 posts and built 6 models and four dios (plus rebuilding/repainting 5 models). So, it is not really inversely propotional.Wink [;)]

now i am a prime example of one who has an inflated post count. not sure how much i have contributed to the community but i do so enjoy the company. and the builds are fantastic. oh and here goes another in the post count.

How about:

4000= Master Modeler
8000=Master Model Judge
10000=FSM adminstrator Ultimate Modeler

The new Ranks could be signified by a bar similar to the ribbons of a military uniform.

Perhaps the first one would have a red and blue bar with a gold star in the middle. Inside the Gold Star could be an Oak Leaf.

The next one could have the same bar with a gold star, only the star would be flanked by 2 Oak Leaves.

The last rank could have a picture of a trophy cup. (Or a god's throne! Big Smile [:D] )

maybe not a new rank, but maybe changing the color of the stars????? lawerence, mellis, anyone................................. is that possible? it would show the member has achieved a higher level and might not be to difficult to do.
