Page navigation links
Posted by pordoi on Saturday, July 31, 2010 4:36 PM

A heads up on a little quirk in the page navigation links that are found at both the top and bottom of each page in multi-page posts.  These are the hot links that re-direct to other pages in the post.  Clicking on the link to navigate to the first page in the post works fine when using the navigation links located at the bottom of the page.  However, the same hotlink to the first page that is located at the top of a page is inoperative.  Just re-loads the current page, regardless of what page is currently being displayed.  Seems only to be a problem with the re-direct to the first page as the other links to different pages seem to work fine.

Thanks for the heads up. We'll take a look into this.

Tried this on a couple of pages and the "First page" link at the top worked for me. Can anyone give me any specific threads this doesn't work in? Is anyone else having this issue?

Thanks!

I have had the same problem.  I can't think of a specific thread, and it might have gotten cleared up when you guys fixed the links to other forums at the top of some pages (it was a glitch I pointed out a week or so ago).  Let me go mess around in the forum and see if I can find a thread where the problem exists and I'll direct you there.

Alright, Megan, I poked around in about half a dozen multi-page threads and could not replicate the problem again.  Looks like something you all did cleared it up.  If I have it again, I'll drop you a line.

Hi Megan,

I think this happens when you open a thread at the latest post.

for example this thread: 1/72nd scale. Did I make a bad choice? If you navigate through the two pages starting at page 1, it works fine. However, if, from the menu, you select the latest post hotlink and then try to select "previous page" at the  top, it just re-loads the current page (page 2).

Sorry, I got busy away from the computer and haven't got back to follow up.  But yes, I think that you hit on the problem.  Sorry for the delay in responding.
