Website design - wonderful. Implementation - not so well...
Hi all,
having more time for the hobby, I recently started to use the new finescale web site more frequently. The design is wonderful, but I have a hard time navigating around. I confess that I'm using a Linux OS (with Firefox), and while everything might work well under Windows or Macs, I encounter lots of problems on my system. For example, the yellow search field on the right side is simply unaccessible (can't click on it), or those green navigation links are non-clickable or get covered by the drop-down menu once you get close to them. The worst: search options for the forum search (e.g. "order by") are completely ignored, whatever I choose.
Anyone else with Linux having the same problems? I'm sorry to articulate my frustration so bluntly , but I don't understand how this is possible. Web sites and html are intended to work on all operating systems, and usually they do. It's not rocket science, it's just about adhering to html standards. I've programmed web sites with database interfaces myself - and I'm a biologist .
Someone suffering with me?
