They are a busy bunch that knows we conduct ourselves with the up most professionalism and respect for our fellow modelers.

Now and then someone has to hit the 'report' button to alert the modulators of less than gentleman like behavior.

Mathew & Aaron add to a thread or two on occasion, contrary to popular belief their jobs are not fun filled days tinkering on model kits with unlimited spare time. AutomobileTravel

kbuzz01,

Yes, we do. Is there something I can help you with? Did you straighten out the problem with the screen zooming in?

Cheers, Aaron

Thanks for the response, Aaron.  No, it still happens frequently and only on this website.  I'm running a Mac with a Firefox browser via DSL.  Maybe I'll try Safari and see what happens.

Hi Aaron:

I have two issues ...

First - ofttimes, the replies fill up more than the whole screen, causing me to have to scroll back and forth to read or view pictures ... at other times, the replies situate themselves nicely and it's a pleasure to view ...

Secondly - I can not get the Smilies to work on any of the forums I'm in - Korean War - Weathering - Early Jets - Way Too Many Props ...

Suggestions ? ...

Thanks,

pepper

I'm not sure about the cause of the first problem, but I'll pass it on to our web department. For the second one, it may be a browser issue. I had a big problem using Safari where I had not access to text format or smilies, but it seems to work fine with Firefox. Which browser are you using?

Cheers, Aaron

I'm running the Firefox browser on a Mac as well. Replies that run outside the browser window (side to side), I've probably only seen a couple times. It seems to have something to do with folks posting pictures that are way beyond the max width & height defaults. (They load at full size & then get scaled down to fit, right?) I'm guessing they start that scaling process & then get interrupted somehow, therefore they never do scale down to the proper size.

No issues with Big Smile Wink Indifferent here!

Are you missing the smilies option in the menu bar above when posting or is it there and not working?

If you are missing the formatting options such as the font size/colour/bold/Italics (and smilies) etc, please open this thread /forums/t/123499.aspx and follow the steps contained within to see if this resolves the issue.

Hi Aaron:

I'm using Internet Explorer and have never had these issues until just recently ... I've made no changes to my browser settings whatsoever ...

I believe the 'scrolling' problem, i.e., the side to side width of the post is caused by images that have not been resized smaller ...  I always edit mine to a 400 pixel square ...

I followed the advice of the last poster and checked my Profile ...  the Default Content Editor was set to Standard ... I reset it to Enhanced but still have the problem with no Smilies ...

In the grand scheme of things, it's certainly no big deal, but I do like to toss one in occassionaly ...

Thanks,

pepper
