I had the same round-robin tail-chase, a couple of months back. Tried loading a fresh copy of Firefox (Mozilla was having some change-of-edition glitches) — no joy. Tried Explorer — nothing. Never found the reason — it just “went away”. Fortunately, it hasn’t reoccurred — but I, too, would like an explanation. Anybody else have this experience?

That's kinda strange. If you have a basic account (e.g. just for the forums), then there's no need for the browser to take you to or load anything from the Klambach website. It sounds like there may be a problem with the DNS entry on your computer. In which case, go to the command prompt (Start -> Accessories -> Command Prompt). Then enter ipconfig /flushdns

This will cause your browser to re-resolve DNS data instead of relying on old information (most websites automatically update this for you....some fall short).

Apart from that, you could try clearing the cache/cookies. This shouldn't be the cause, but I suppose it's worth a try. Depending on what browser you're using, you may need to check Google for where the cookies are stored (usually in a hidden AppData folder in your personal [username] folder). Or you could download a free program like CCleaner to clean out unnecessary files like cookies. It's pretty safe, and I use it all the time.

Hope something works for you.

I created an account, and have been using it.  Then tried logging in on my laptop.  I click log-in, it takes me to the Klambach publishing website.  I log in.  I click "go back to web-site".

Instead of taking my back to Finescale forums, it takes me to a another Klambach publishing site.  I link from there back to finescale, then to forum, and it says log in again.  I go through the same circle over and over again.

This happens on my desktop if I try to use a different browser (I have tried allowing cookies etc.)

What gives?

Thanks for any help.
