I find that often when I post a reply, it doesn't stick. And that gets annoying, since there isn't a "save draft" feature in this forum and some replies consume a fair amount of time and research. Does any one else have this issue?

I have it from time to time. If I am going to write a long one I will use word then copy and paste.

yes...

I've had it happen a couple of times, I think it's been more of a user-error problem though. I'm often working on a laptop & my thumbs will brush the trackpad in a way that makes the browser go back a page. Can I do it on purpose? NO! Of course not. Does it happen after I've typed out several paragraphs & posted lots of photos... YES!! Bang Head

Actually, I'm kind of surprised that I've typed this long without doing it! Hmm

Maybe.........

I have the same problem using a laptop.

Sometimes I obtain an FSM Forum error page and must re-enter the information.

Yes, especially when I post from work...I have countered this issue by "copying" the reply then trying to send.  If it doesn't stick I just paste my reply back in and re-send.  Someteimes it has taken several attempts to "stick" it...

I've come across this before.  I usually just hit refresh and my post appears.  For me, this is very common when using Google Chrome and Firefox, I have not seen it in with IE.

Try refreshing your screen next time see if it shows up.

I only have a problem when i am in camp and have a dodgy connection. By the time i go to post it, i have gone off line. So i have learned to check and copy and paiste to a document, then i can do it when i get my connection back. But in general i have not found a problem, and i don't think a save to drafts would work for me if i have gone off line, but it seems like a good idea.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Actually, I've had occasional problems when the FMS server seems just too busy to handle updates from members and have obtained Server Unavailable error messages or the screen doesn't return to the FSM forum webpage.

Best thing for long messages is typing first in notepad then copy / paste to FSM.
