E-Newsletter - saying no twice...? C'mon...
Posted by bbrowniii on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 5:24 PM

Look, I understand that you all at FSM are trying to drum up interest in the e-newsletter, but why to I have to 'X' out of it twice?

When I arrive at the site, the pop-up window for the newsletter covers the home screen so I have to close it to get into the forums. Then, when I come into the forums, it pops up AGAIN!!

Do you not trust my judgement? Do you think I'll change my mind? Are you refusing to take no for an answer? Stick out tongue

It is not a 'big deal', but it is a little annoying...

To FSM staff: why does the pop-up occur twice?

Can the pop-up be reset for only once - at the time the FSM website first loads?

Hi bbrowniii,

Sorry for the inconvenience. I too have to close the pop ups when I log onto the website.

The ads on the website aren't controlled by the FSM editorial staff. The decision for the pop ups, their content, and timing are made by Kalmbach Publishing Company's marketing team. I will pass along your concerns, and the concerns of others who have posted to this thread.

We really appreciate you taking the the time to send us your feedback.

Regards,

TK

Lose the pop-up already!!!!!!!!!!!!! How long are the people at Kalmbach going to hound us with this? I already signed up so I don't need to see this for several weeks straight. There are laws against cyber harassment and this is beginning to border on that!

Please ditch the pop-ups.

Also, inform the marketing team that pop-ups became irritating years ago.

In the big scheme of things,it's not a big deal for me.one extra click isn't going to ruin my day.
