New Forum - two issues
Posted by bbrowniii on Saturday, June 30, 2012 9:10 PM

Tim and/or Craig

I have identified two additional issues with the new forum that I hope you can offer me some insight on.

First - since the start of the new forum, it records all of my PMs/Conversations as being unread. However, except for a current one, I have read all of them. What this means is that it always indicates that I have a new message. Is there any way to A) set all of my conversations to 'Mark as read' or B) to delete conversations in 'bunches' rather than having to do it one at a time (I've got a pretty big backlog of old conversations that I'd have to delete one by one

Second - I noticed that when I reply to a post, it puts me on the last page of the thread, even if the post I replied to did not come from the last page. So, for example, if I'm going through a really long thread from a GB or something and reply to a post on page 9 out of 20, I wind up on page 20 and have to navigate my way back to the last post I was reading to continue. Is there any way to tweak things so that the software returns you to the post you resplied to?

I have also noticed that the "mark all as read" button does not work.  It seems to indicate they have been read while I am still in that forum, but the next time I return to the forum (usually next day) they are again in bold, even when no new messages have been added.
