First item on "Recent Discussions" pane stuck?
Posted by Phil_H on Friday, August 3, 2012 1:26 AM

Minor quibble, but....

On the forum homepage, to the right of the screen, there's a small pane which lists the titles of the most recent discussions.

The first thread listed on this list is an old thread from 2009 (ironically, this announces the previous forum update) and has been showing there, unmoving, for about the last 10 days or so.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Phil--

Just a guess, since I did it about 30 seconds before I read your post.

While scrolling through the forums, I occasionally forget and click on the right-hand arrow at the bottom of the page. It used to be for the "next" page, but under the new layout it's for the "last" (i.e., oldest) page of any given thread.

Not realizing at first that I've instantly been transported back 4 years, I've clicked on that headline, oh, maybe once a week. Since it's locked, maybe merely clicking on it shoots it to the top of the pile.

I bet I'm not the only one that's done it.

Cheers

Greg

I see it too.  Just reading it should not send it to the top of the list.  Somebody needs to post for it to register as a recent topic.

Hi guys,

Our online team is on it. It should be fixed some time today.

Thanks,

Tim

I also have it on my "your discusions" menu. The first thread every day is on that I had not contributed to in years. A few weeks back I made a couple posts on it just to see if thst would get it moving, but nothing has changed. After I made the posts it did not even appear under the forum "recent discussions"...

Hi Stikpusher,

Yeah, I think it's all part of the same issue. We'll get it cleared up before to long.

Thanks,

Tim

Not on my "Your Discussions" Sad Armor Terminology, where I made my last post on August 2nd at 2:15 PM PDT is still my top post there even though I have been posting quite regularly since then....Hmm

That's odd. Can you take a screen shot of what you're talking about and post it like Phil did above? Or email it to me (tkidwell@finescale.com) and I'll forward it on to the online crew.

Thanks,

Tim
