Sticky threads become unstuck if first post edited?
Posted by Phil_H on Sunday, September 2, 2012 2:03 AM

In the Reference Materials forum, there are a number of threads which have been "stickied". I recently edited the opening post of this thread and it has lost its "sticky" attribute.

This is not generally a problem because the great majority of sticky threads are posted by forum admin/ moderators. However,  this is one of a very small number of threads which was not, and the ability to mark a thread as "sticky" is only available to admin/mods.

Is there a way to make this attribute persistent or should we request to mark a thread as sticky every time the opening post of a sticky thread is edited?
