What plugin?
Posted by jtilley on Sunday, July 21, 2013 1:32 AM

I just bought a new computer (a desktop Mac - and I love it).  My browser is Mozilla Firefox. When I come to the FSM Forum I sometimes (not always) get a yellow bar across the top of the page and the message "Additional plugins are required to display the content of this page."  At the right end of the yellow bar is a grey button labeled "Install missing plugins."  When I click on the button, I get "No plugins available."

Can somebody tell me what this mysterious missing plugin is - and how I can get it?

Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.

Hi jtilley,

I, too, use an iMac (also love it) and Firefox and I don't think I have any special plug-in in order to view FSM. I do have Firefox set to prevent re-directs and often get the message "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page.........(allow)" when viewing FSM. I just ignore it (don't click allow) and all seems well. You might try setting Firefox to prevent redirects -- "Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page" .

I also have a Mac. I use Safari as my home page and have absolutely no problems.
