Picture posting issues
Posted by USMC6094 on Thursday, June 5, 2014 12:46 PM
I've been trying to upload pictures on my Tornado thread for over a week, I use the "Use rich formatting" button, and then all I get is the text box, just like as I write this, the tool bar for all the cool effects is not showing up anytime I post anymore

Hi USMC6094,

What browser are you using? If you are using the latest version IE, you'll have to set it up in compatibility mode. It doesn't play well with a number of websites. If you're using another browser, we'll have to look into the issue.

Tim

Did your computer recently auto-update the software? New patches and updates can be tricky. Also, we just went through a recent upgrade here at HQ, so it is conceivable that something changed that is making IE angry, although I'm not sure what it would be.

I can find no way to post photos with IE, Mozilla, or Chrome.

I am using Firefox (Mozilla) and have no problems. In the rich formatting mode you should see the text of the message you are replying to, a link phrase that says Quote, and then the text box, with the label "description" just above and to the left of the text box.  Inside the text box, at the top, should be two tool bars, with all sorts of formatting options.  On the bottom one, just right of center, should be two negative strip icons, one a single frame, which is for still pics, and one showing two frames (supposed to represent movie film), which is for video.  These tool bars should be on a gray background.  There is another gray stripe across the bottom of the box.  Below the box are some option windows for tags and email replies, and then the "post" button, blue background with white font.
