Setting the compatibility settings corrected the issue.

Thanks to all

I use Chrome with no issues here.

The only other issue I had was with a UK Military Modelling website, & that was because of their external ad provider was kicking the stuff out of it, needed to use Ad-Block Plus, which killed the excessively intrusive ads, but also killed their eqv. of the 'use rich formatting'

Google Chrome seems to work best with this website. I never have any of the issues called out in these forums using Chrome.

My enter/CR key puts in a carriage return even without using rich formatting (I use Firefox).

I suspect your "Rich Formatting" option may be missing if you're using IE11 and Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 and you haven't included finescale.com in the "compatibility view" list.

Click the "tools" icon (the cog wheel) at the top right of the screen & select "compatibility view settings" from the list. On the window that opens, type "finescale.com" (without the quotes) in the "Add this website" box and then click "add". Then close that window and reload the forum page.

I kind of like to orginze my text in paragraphs. Evidently the forums ignore [enter] and you end up with a wall of text. Any suggestions?
