That does seem excessive.
Like Jon, I use Adblock Pro. I have no idea what effect it has or doesn't have on this site, but I too get a popup on log on a couple times a week, and I tend to log on multiple times daily.
What browser are you using?
I get the same as Jon and I don't get them every time. I have just come on now and had nothing. I don't sign off the site and I automatically come onto the forum without having to go through the sites main page, not sure if that makes a difference.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

I look at it as a small annoyance to bear since Kalmbach is providing this great forum for us. If this forum was for subscribers only, maybe we'd have a valid gripe. But it's available to everyone.
Just my 2 cents.
Oh, and you might want to look here for Tim Kidwell's 6-24-15 announcement on subject.
I don't think you can turn them off
I get one popup, & one green banner at the bottom of the page, easy enough to close, & then I stay logged in for the day.
Other website were rendered unusable for their constant rolling flash ads, so I installed Adblock PLUS on Chrome & that works fine, no ads now.

Don't feed the CM!
I've been a loyal Fine Scale Modeler subscriber for ten years and I can understand self promotion in the magazine. But this website is one of the "member privileges" so why am I constantly bombarded with these pop up ads telling me to subscribe or buy this book etc.?
Please tell me there is a way to turn them off. They are annoying as heck and detract from an otherwise great website and resource.
