Professor,  this is right up there with no spell check.  I haven't been able to search this forum in a logical useful way, for years.  I'm also noticing significantly reduced traffic from experienced modelers, outside of the stalwarts here. Is it any wonder?

Yeah, 3rd.

The other day I searched on something and it brought up a bunch of obvious spam. Nothing at all related to modeling.

Could the FSM staff please take a look at the "Forum Search" function? It hasn't really worked since the last major update to the site.

In the Good Olde Dayes looking up old posts was easy. You just typed in the subject you were looking for, and a long list, in chronological order, came up immediately. And when you clicked on a member's name, one more click took you to a list of all that person's posts.

Earlier today I followed, with interest, a discussion of how to use masking tape. In the past few minutes I've done searches on "masking tape," "Tamiya masking tape," "3M masking tape," "Tamiya," and "3M." I know for a fact that all those terms appeared in the thread. I set the date range at October 7 - 9. I got no results.

Can't something be done about this? The Forum Search function used to be one of the most useful features of the site. Now it's almost worthless.

Thanks.
