FWIW, I have the AdGuard extension on my android phone's Firefox browser, and I don't see a single one of the ads you guys are talking about.
At least, not yet....

I installed AB+ on my android phone and it didn't block anything. Ended up uninstalling it, and just putting up with the crap.
I agree with you regarding the numerous ads on a cell phone. I rarely look at FSM on my cell phone because I can't tolerate all of the ads.
Your comments and questions are always welcome.
JohnnyK I am currently on my Windows 10 PC and there are three static ads along the right side of the screen and a bar of small ads under the forum heading. They are really not very bothersome.

It really depends on the given user's situation. I didn't find them bothersome, either, on a laptop, in Win10 and Chrome or Firefox. But like I said, it's like an arms race, and all of a sudden, the ads began appearing for me, despite the fact that I already had native ad blockers in my browsers. This latest presentation of ads was more annoying, to me, and so I took steps to update my blockers.
But for the people using mobile devices like smartphones and tablets, the ads are apparently much more annoying, if for no other reason than the smaller real estate they have to work with.
So I have some empathy for their situation, even though I'm not impacted in the same way.
The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.
I've relied on the in-built ad blockers in my browsers, and they've been pretty good. But this morning, I see that the advertisers have ratcheted up the digital arms race, and I'm getting ads in sliders opening from the bottom of the page (eg, by Google Ads) and under the forum headings. So I installed the latest version of AdBlockPlus, and they're gone. I'm running Chrome and Firefox on Win10 on a laptop, though. If you're on a mobile device, specific details may vary.
I do understand the need to pay for the expenses of a site. BUT over 50% of my page is filled with annoying ads. Surely I am not the only one annoyed by this. Can't Fine Scale Modeler ease up a bit?
Thanks, Kab
