Good answer Tim. Thanks for the reassurance, what with all the major "Hacks" going around for all manner of national and international companies. It is good to know our information is safe, in “your” Angel good hands.‍ Bow Down Wink

Well, for this site, I changed my password to The Funniest Joke in the World, so if anyone tries to steal it, they will die laughing.  Should alleviate my concern!

Thanks, Tim.  I thought I'd noticed a connection there before, good to have it confirmed.  My comment is mostly about logging into the forums AFTER logging into the  https://finescale.com/ website.  To do so, I click on "Forums" under "Community" and my browser is opening a new tab to http://cs.finescale.com/ and it's THAT page that is flagged as not secure.

As Greg has mentioned, likely not a major issue, and jokes aside, I use unique passwords for all sites, so it's almost certainly not an issue for me...just kinda niggles at the infosec practices that have been beaten into me over the years.

As long as you're not making a financial transaction or anything along those lines then the risk is very slight. However, I do agree that it should be a concern and hopefully it gets rectified in the near future.

It's nothing new, Daniel.

Generally not a fan of having to log into a site via an insecure page!

Nor am I. But my visits here are important to me so I let it go.

Last time this came up, a member here who is better informed than I of such things explained why it's not that big of a deal. Sorry I don't remember the details. Still annoys me, though.

Has anyone else noticed that the "cs.finescale.com" domain for the forums is NOT secure?  This means logging into the forums requires passing your password in the open.  Have I just not noticed this before, or is this a new development?  Generally not a fan of having to log into a site via an insecure page!
