I'll try one more time:

It looks like it worked.

I really liked how, with the old forum, the images would expand in a window within the main browser window, and not in a whole new browser window. Is there any chance that could happen again?

Regards,

-Drew

Here is an image I tried to post.  Prior to the change these always worked.

That's didn't work for me. I used the img tag in brackets, and I posted from Internet Explorer 6.

As obvious as it may seem that there should be one, there isn't.  Sad [:(]

What everyone is doing is using what is referred to as BBCode or bracket code (or tags).

If you click on the "quote" button in the top right corner of this message, you'll see how it works.  Look for the [img] bracket.

Firefox is the best.  Wink [;)]

Seriously though, Opera is a good browser.  The problem is that compatibility tends to be checked in Internet Explorer and Firefox (maybe Netscape) before Opera.  To be honest, I haven't opened Opera since... uhm... it's been awhile.  As a developer, that's something I should have done to check the forums.

A member's signature won't show up until they update their profile.  I was able to keep everyone's signature, but each profile had to be updated in order for it to display.  Most of the codes from the old forum should work in this one, along with a specific set of HTML.

Opera, huh?  I was beginning to think perhaps it was a browser issue because of an earlier post where you were trying to quote another post.  What version of Opera are you using?  I'll take a look into, but I'm not sure what I'll be able to do right now.

In the next version, there is going to be an option where you can select different editors (the editor is what you use to post, has all the buttons and drop downs).  There are a couple to choose from, in addition to a plain 'ol textbox.  I'm sure one of the options would work.  But that doesn't help us right now.

Yeah maybe its time for me to update my internet browser.

David,  when I first logged in my signature image did not show up.  I had my real name using some of the old code to make the text green and another smaller image and then my main sig image.  When I removed the text (and code) and the smaller image the main sig image re-appeared.  Maybe some others are having the same problem.

Can someone try posting an image? Please?
Posted by David Voss on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 12:25 PM
I'm trying to troubleshoot the image code.  I'm able to post images using the traditional bracket code.

I've seen that some people are having trouble with this.  So I made a change and need for someone (anyone) to test this.

Thanks!
