How does all of this work ?
Posted by KODA on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 9:16 PM

Hey Guys, I'm totally lost here with this new format. I hope someone can

help me with some questions I have:

1. How can I get my group build badge (yes only one, for now) to show upin my posts and replies. I didn't change anything in my profile.

2. How can I "filter" the posts like we used to be able to. You know, view posts from "Last Day", "Last 5 Days", "Last 30 Days" etc.

3. To post pictures, do we have to manually type in the img. tags or is there a key where we can insert the image. (if that makes sense)

It took me a while to figure this stuff out on the old site, now I feel like complete idiot trying to figure this stuff out all over again!

Thanks in advance!

you're not alone! It will take a few days to get used to. Hopefully I can help a little bit.

1. Just take the GB badge from the site you were hosting it at (ie, photobucket) and insert it as an image into your signature. Just like you used to.

2.  If you look at right above where you posted, there should be a little icon that folds down. It says "sort posts by" i think.

3. I have posted a pic using the same way I used to. It should work. So far I haven't seen any special img button.

hope this info helps a little.

If you had a signature on the old forum, it's still there in your profile.  Click on the "Update Profile" link and you'll see a box for your signature.  If you don't want everything from your old signature, then edit it down to what you want to display.  Don't worry if you don't get it to look the way you want the first time.  I think it's normal to update it a few times to get it just the way you want it.

Good question.  If you click on the Armor Forum link, scroll all the way to the bottom of the list and you should see a button that is labeled "options", should have a gear as a picture.  Click on the button and you'll see a bunch of options like that.  I don't know why, but for some reason the options are not displayed unless you click on the button..

To post pictures, you have to manually type in the img tags.  There is no button or key to inser the image.

Another question...

Before, each time I logged in, it would show new post/replies since my last time to the site in an orange(?) color.  Now, I can't tell which are new and which are old.  I see in the options that I can only dispay new since last time on the site, but I still want to see the others.  How do I do that?

EDIT: I think I see it now.  New posts/replies are in blue.  Guess it was hard to tell since all the posts were "new" when the migration to the new site occurred.

Maybe not.  The previous, old posts below the last ones I looked at from last time are still blue as well.

Still Confused.....

Thanks for the help!  I'm sure I'll have more questions as I get used to all

of this.
