Is it just me?

Does the formatting with these look funky? (...using firefox 1.07) - did not check with IE

Looks like it has to do something with the embedded images...

You mean how the posts are stretched out to the right?  It has to do with the javascript which resizes the images.  Even though the image dimensions are adjusted, the width of the posts don't adjust.  IE actually adjusts itself.  I'll be working on a fix for this.

Edit - never mind - my question has already been asked

New question: how do you delete posts... when trying to delete this one, I got a message saying that there was a time limit for doing so, and since I was outside of that limit, I had to contact an admin.  Is this another Firefox issue, or something in the setup of CS?

I think it's a bug in CS.  I have it setup so that registered members can edit and delete their own posts.  There is no time limit for editing or deleting.  I've encountered the same thing on the actual CS site too.

I went ahead and set a time limit of 4 weeks.  Perhaps with a time limit set, it will let you delete it.  Can you try it now and let me know if that worked?  If that fixes it, I'll have to increase it to accomodate group builds.

I think if someone has replied directly to your post, then you may not be able to delete your post.  I know that was an open issue with CS and I know they checked in a fix that takes care of replies in the next version.

I tried to delete my last post, but got this message:

"Access Denied: Delete Permission Denied
Permission to delete the post has been denied. A post cannot be deleted if replies have been made to it."

So now I'll post this one, and attempt to delete it.

Tried to delete my last post (containing the delete permission notice), and but I got the same message.

Then tried to edit it to notify the admins of my lack of success, and got this message:

Permission Expired: Post Edit Permission Expired
The administrator(s) have configured this forum to have a time limit for editing messages. If you still require a message to be edited, please check with a forum moderator.

This is odd, since I was able to edit my first response to this thread.  Any suggestions?

Edit - Edit feature appears to be working again.

Don't make any mistakes?  Wink [;)]

Well apparently setting a time limit doesn't work.  I set it back so at least now you should be able to edit posts.  As for deleting, if it's really important, use the report button to get it removed.  Otherwise, edit it and blank it out ... or turn it into something useful and replace it with some trivia or fact of the day. Smile [:)]
