Tinker - on the font size thing, try going to the top menu bar on IE, click on View, then Font Size.  It should be set to Medium.  I had something like that happen to me awhile back and it ended up some web site was resetting it to small as near as I could figure.  I had to reset it several times till I figured out where it was happening.  It was wierd because it only showed up small like that on the (old) FSM forum and one of the news sites I went to.  Everywhere else looked ok.

David:         I noticed someone else posting a question about font size last night well after mine.  You responded with some questions on the query about which OS was being used and if the size problem was only on the Forum.  I have some info I hope will help you.

  • The OS I am using is Windows XP Home Edition with SP2 and all critical updates through yeaterday.  I've also downloaded and installed the new .NET framework ( whatever that means--I'm no programmer ).
  • My browser is IE.
  • The font size is very small and faded only on the Forum until I sign-in.   Then the " Largest " font size I chose and saved on my Profile page kicks in and enlarges the fonts on the Forum.
  • I checked several other pages on the site and ALL of them look great and uneffected  before signing in.
  • I've noticed that after replying to a post, the " Back " button on my Window's tool bar has to be clicked 7 times to return to the Forum page; and then I have to click on the " Refresh " button to get the updated page.  Can you program the " Post " button to carry us back to the up-dated Forum page in one click and without having to use the " Refresh " button?

I, too, miss the Smiley graphics page.

Edit Update:  11 Nov. 2005 ;  12:16 AM   CST   USA,  That globe icon that is supposed to indicate if we are currently on-line, seems to work only if we have an Avatar.  Mine wasn't working until AFTER  I installed an  Avatar----about 6-minutes ago.  I hope these notes help, David.
