It's to report a post to the moderators. Foul language, abuse, overt political or religious discussion. That sort of thing.

So long folks!

Well, all I know is that it does work.
While brousing the Introduce Yourself section, I found a link to another "model" site, but it wasn't scale models they were linking to... so I hit the Report button and two to three hours later, that post was gone. Don't miss understand, I'm not opposed to it and others like it, but they don't belong here. Period!
Gotta say I like it, a lot. Hope SA does something similar to their site, if and when they get around to changing it.Alien [alien]

You mean the link labeled "Report Abuse"?  Wink [;)]

Just changed the label to make it clearer (I hope).  How Bill described it (thanks, Bill) is what it's purpose is for.  All the administrators/moderators have access to the reports forum which is where those messages are kept.  Rather than having an email sent off to a single person, we can all see and respond to it.

In regards to Scale Auto, at some point they'll be updated to the same system FineScale has.  Same registration, same forums, etc.  A bonus for anyone who participates on both, the account you created on the Customer Service Center (before coming back to FSM) is good for Scale Auto.  You'll already be registered and will only need to go through the screen name process like you did here.
