Link to a web site in my signature
Posted by jridge on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 8:14 PM

I have a link to the 30th BG, 38th BS (H) web site - http://30thbg.1hwy.com/38thBS.html - in my signature.  The link was active in the old forum.  It is not active now.  Is there something I need to change or is this an intended change?

Try using this format:
< a href="linkto">description</a>
or
[ url="linkto"]description[/url]

Remove the spaces after the "<" and  "[" respectively, to make it work.

I went ahead and made it active for you.  It's just like Vinny said (thanks, Vinny).

Vinny, David - Thanks for the help.

Was this something that changed with the upgraded?

PS:  Hope my signature photo is better too --- I changed that all by myself.......it only took three tries!

Thanks again for your help.

With CS, the urls aren't converted automatically like they were in the old forums.  I find it frustrating since I've become accustomed to it myself.  I know it can be done, but I'm not sure if it should be done and at what point in the code because there are so many other things involved.  I don't want to risk opening up the site to cross site scripting or anything else.
