Don't know if this is even possible, but here goes. As you mentioned in another thread, this forum now only marks a thread as "read" if you actually open it. The only other way around this is to open every forum, open the options, mark all threads as read, and then repeat this again and again.
Option 1 - Is there any way to put an "options" button on the main forum index that affects all the other forums? This way, before leaving the site, a member could "mark all as read" one time instead of the 15+ times now required.
Option 2 - Can all the individual thread's "read status" (graying out) be tied back into a member's visit as before? This way, when a member leaves the web site (or signs out as another option) all threads would be immediately marked as read.
I think either of these options - if possible - would greatly enhance a member's ability to rapidly determine 1) where new posts have been made and 2) which forums they need to visit to see "new" posts.
